SZABMU MDCAT 2025 Results: Over 69 per cent candidates qualify for MBBS

Islamabad: Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) on Friday announced the results of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, held on October 26 across the country.

Over 140,000 students had registered for the MDCAT,  a compulsory test for admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.

The results were announced for candidates from Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and the International Center Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

According to official figures, 6,229 candidates were registered for the MDCAT exam, out of which 5,895 appeared, marking a participation rate of 94.64 per cent.

A total of 334 candidates remained absent.

The result notification shows that 4,086 students, 69.31 per cent, secured the minimum 55 per cent marks required for MBBS admission, while 4,598 candidates 78 per cent, qualified for BDS admission.

In terms of marks distribution, 76 candidates scored between 170 and 180 marks, while 1,297 candidates scored below 89 marks.

The result was approved and signed by the Vice Chancellor of SZABMU on October 31, 2025. The university noted that “errors and omissions are excepted as a notice only.”

According to the university, out of a total of 6,229 candidates, 2,645 appeared at two centres in Islamabad, 761 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 2,629 across four centres in Azad Kashmir, and 194 candidates took the test in Riyadh.
