The United States (US) has registered a commanding 93-run victory over the Netherlands in the 21st match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
After winning the toss, the US posted an imposing total of 196 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs, setting the Netherlands a challenging target of 197 runs.
Setija Makamla led the charge with a fluent 79 off 51 balls, anchoring the innings with a blend of power and precision. Shubham Ranjane provided solid support with 48 runs, while captain Monanak Patel contributed 36 runs to strengthen the total.
For the Netherlands, Bas de Leyde was the standout bowler, claiming four wickets for 37 runs to keep his side in contention.
In response, the Netherlands faltered under scoreboard pressure and were bowled out for 103 runs in just 15.5 overs. Bess de Leede top-scored with 23 runs, while captain Scott Edwards managed 20. Roelof van der Merwe added 10 runs before being dismissed, as the rest of the batting line-up struggled to build partnerships.
Harmeet Singh starred with the ball for the United States, taking four crucial wickets and earning the Player of the Match award. Shadley Van chipped in with three wickets to dismantle the Dutch batting order. With this emphatic win, the United States strengthened its position in the tournament, showcasing both batting depth and bowling firepower in a one-sided contest.
