Famous singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has dropped a new music video for her song, ‘Elizabeth Taylor’, taking inspiration from the world renown actress.
The music video follows a collection of events from Elizabeth Taylor’s films.
The visuals blend famous scenes from the actress’s filmography with archival newsreels and clips showing the relentless paparazzi attention she faced throughout her career.
Notable films featured in the montage include ‘Cleopatra’, ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? as well as the cult classic ‘Boom!’, where Taylor portrays a six-time divorcee visited by the angel of death.
Swift has been vocal about her deep admiration for the late star, who was born in London in 1932 and became one of the 20th century’s most legendary figures.
Known for her striking beauty and her ability to play fierce, volatile characters, Taylor has become a primary role model for Swift.

The singer recently explained that this fascination inspired her to write about the actress on her latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’.
The connection between the two women stems from their shared experiences in the public eye.
Swift told the Elvis Duran Show that she identifies with Taylor as a figure who at the same time, is beloved and polarising.
In a separate interview with Amazon Music, Swift praised how the actress lived a life lived under an intense “microscope,” noting that she handled the constant scrutiny with a sense of humor and a determination to keep moving forward with her life.
The promotional video for “Elizabeth Taylor” is launching as a temporary exclusive on Spotify and Apple Music, with a YouTube release delayed until Thursday.
Industry experts suggest this strategy is a response to updated US chart regulations. Under these new rules, YouTube views are no longer factored into Top 100 rankings, making the platform less of a priority for artists during a song’s debut week.
