Govt approves recruitment of senior elementary teachers

Earlier today, the Government of Pakistan approved recruitment against vacant posts of Senior Elementary Teachers (BS-16) in Islamabad Model Institutions, according to an official notification issued by the Establishment Division.

The notification stated that the hiring process will be carried out by the Federal Directorate of Education under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training after completion of all required codal formalities.

As per the document, a total of 208 vacant posts of Senior Elementary Teachers (BS-16) will be filled. The vacancies include positions for male and female teachers in different subjects such as Physical Education and Drawing.

The notification stated that obtaining a prior No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Establishment Division is mandatory before initiating recruitment. It further clarified that no surplus employees with matching qualifications were available for adjustment against the reported vacancies, necessitating fresh recruitment.

The hiring process will be conducted through the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in accordance with the government’s recruitment policy and financial regulations.

Officials said the move aims to address teacher shortages in Islamabad Model Institutions and improve the quality of education in federal educational institutions.
