The temperature in Chaman has dropped to record -10°C after heavy snowfall hit the valley and other parts of Balochistan.
As per details, the intense snowfall resulted in blockage of several roads in Chaman, cutting off the city from the rest of province.
Hundreds of tourists remain stranded after the first snowfall of winter season blocked roads in Chaman and other parts of northern Balochistan.
According to met office, the Chaman, Khojak Top, Khwaja Imran, Toba Achakzai, Qila Abdullah, Gulistan, Jangal Pir Alizai, Shela Bagh and Mezai Adda are still receiving snowfall.
Khojak Top and Khwaja Imran saw a drop in temperature to -3, whereas Toba Achakzai recorded minus 4 degrees Celsius with snow of one and a half feet in the area.
Heavy snowfall blankets Noshki and Qalat
Noshki and Qalat have received the first snowfall of the winter season, which has brought cold weather to the area.
In the area after the period of eight years, the snowfall has once again covered the mountains, which has created a scenic view as they were wrapped in a white blanket.
As per media reports, the lack of electricity has caused difficulties for residents.
Meanwhile, Qalat city and its surrounding areas have been experiencing continuous snowfall since last night.
The snowfall has covered the entire region in white, significantly dropping temperatures and intensifying the winter chill.
Widespread rain, snowfall turn weather cold across Pakistan
Widespread intermittent rain continued in many parts of the country, while heavy snowfall in upper regions under a strong weather system turned conditions cold.
Rain began in Lahore and several other cities in the evening and continued late into the night with short breaks, leading to a sharp drop in temperature and wet conditions across the city.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued high alert regarding heavy rain and thunderstorms.
As per details, the new system will result in rains, thunderstorms, and heavy snowfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan on Friday (today).
Meanwhile, the authorities warned residents of northern areas that snow likely to hit the mountainous region during evening and night hours.
