Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Monday stated that terrorists should be labelled as terrorists without any ifs or buts,” rejecting claims of public anger or deprivation of rights in Balochistan.
Rana made it clear that there was no anger or rights-related issue in Balochistan and stressed that terrorists must be identified and dealt with clearly and decisively.
Speaking during a session of the Senate, Rana said that criminal activities can take place anywhere, including areas considered safe, and are carried out by a limited number of groups.
He said these terrorist groups stop buses in Balochistan, take passengers hostage, force them to disembark, and kill people from other provinces in front of their families before fleeing. He added that passengers were also killed in the Jafar Express incident.
Questioning the justification for such acts, Sanaullah asked what kind of resentment could warrant the killing of innocent civilians. He reiterated that terrorists have been arrested and that the matter will be taken forward after their interrogation.
He said that the bodies of terrorists involved in the Jafar Express incident were brought to Quetta Hospital and questioned who later took those bodies into their custody.
He stated that the groups involved were acting against Pakistan on the instructions of hostile forces. He further said that just as the enemy was defeated in the “Battle for Justice,” these terrorist elements would also meet the same fate.
