Pakistan’s renowned blockbuster, The Legend of Maula Jatt, which is known for its high production costs, premiered in Chinese theaters on May 21.
A seasoned professional from the Chinese film industry commented that this event signifies the strengthening of cultural ties between the two nations.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Khalil Hashmi, was present at the film’s premiere ceremony that took place earlier this week in Beijing.
In his comments, Hashmi stated, “The debut of The Legend of Maula Jatt in China coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, highlighting the mutually beneficial collaboration between our film industries.”
Considered a pivotal work in Pakistani cinema, this epic film, directed by Bilal Lashari, has garnered international acclaim for its grand production scale, impressive visual effects, and the revival of traditional folklore.
Yang Jian, a senior manager at China Film Group, expressed his hope that more exceptional Pakistani films would make their way into the Chinese market.
He also advocated for strong cooperation between China and Pakistan in various fields, including film production, technological exchanges, and talent development.
