The 8th generation Honda Civic has long held a soft spot among Pakistani car buyers. Introduced in late 2006, it quickly built a loyal following thanks to its sharp design, solid performance and far better comfort compared with the model it replaced.
For many enthusiasts, this was the Civic at its peak, both in looks and driving feel.
What is surprising today is how affordable it has become. With a bit of searching on local marketplaces and used car pages, it is possible to find an 8th gen Honda Civic priced below a Suzuki Mehran. Yes, a car that once sat near the top of Honda’s lineup can now be bought for less than one of Pakistan’s most basic hatchbacks.
During a recent check, we found a Honda Civic Reborn listed almost Rs200,000 cheaper than a 2019 Suzuki Mehran. The comparison is almost unfair. The Civic offers a much roomier interior, more features and far stronger performance than the 800cc Mehran could ever hope to deliver.

Known locally as the Civic Reborn, the model has entered a price bracket that overlaps with used Suzuki Altos. For anyone shopping under Rs3 million and wanting a proper sedan, the 8th gen Honda Civic is increasingly proving to be a tempting option.
One example currently listed online carries a price tag of just Rs1.95 million. That is right, under Rs2 million for a car that once defined its segment. This is not the only one either. A growing number of Civic listings now fall below the Rs2 million mark, depending on condition, mileage and originality.
For those new to the model, the 8th gen Honda Civic comes with a 1.8L engine that still feels lively in everyday use. Buyers with a slightly higher budget can look at cleaner, later-year units as well. A well-kept Honda Civic 2011 model usually sits around Rs2.6 million, though the final price always hinges on how well the car has been maintained.
In a market where prices often climb without warning, finding a feature-rich, spacious and genuinely enjoyable sedan at this price is rare. For many buyers, the Honda Civic Reborn might just be the most value-packed option in the used car market today.
