Web desk: TikTok has deleted more than 25.4 million videos in Pakistan between April and June 2025. The reason for this removal is because the videos violated its Community Guidelines, according to the platform’s Q2 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
The platform’s Q2 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report revealed that 99.7 per cent of these videos were taken down proactively, with 96.2 per cent removed within the first 24 hours of being posted.
The popular social media platform stated that the move reflects its ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and positive digital space for users in Pakistan and around the world.
If we see the action taken globally, TikTok removed 189.5 million videos in the same period. It is equivalent to 0.7 per cent of all uploaded content.
Out of these, 164 million videos were automatically detected and removed using AI-driven moderation tools, while 7.4 million videos were later restored after review.
TikTok Removes Over 25 Million Videos
The social media platform’s proactive removal rate reached 99.1 per cent worldwide, with 94.4 per cent of flagged content removed within a day.
In addition to removing videos, TikTok has also taken action against fake and underage accounts.
The popular social media platform deleted nearly 77 million fake profiles and 26 million accounts suspected to belong to users under 13 years old.
The report also categorised the following types of violations:
- 30.6 per cent of videos contained mature or sensitive themes,
- 14 per cent violated safety and civility standards,
- 6.1 per cent breached privacy or security guidelines,
- 45 per cent were identified as misinformation, and
- 23.8 per cent involved AI-generated or edited media.
TikTok has stated that its regular Community Guidelines Enforcement Reports shows its commitment to transparency and accountability.
It also shows how the platform uses technology and human moderation to protect its community from harmful or misleading content.
