Tiktoker Alina Amir has appeared on social media on Friday, flying a kite for the first time at the kite flying festival, Basant in Lahore.
The Pakistani social media influencer and Tiktoker gained popularity after her ‘Sarsarahat girl’ lip-syncing Parineeti Chopra’s dialogue “Meri Body Mein Sensation Ho Rahi Hai”clip went viral on Tiktok.
She is a fashion and beauty content creator with over 2.5 million followers on Instagram. Alina Amir was initially interested in modelling before choosing social media to build her personal brand.
With this year’s Basant celebrations kicking off, people are now facing trouble finding transport as flights are overbooked. Ticket prices have multiplied overnight in anticipation of the festival as well.
Lahore district administration has also banned kite flying near the Allama Iqbal International Airport for the safety of all flight operations during Basant.
Basant 2026 in Lahore
Lahore is preparing for Basant, a three day kite flying festival with celebrations expected to start today. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz called for the revival of Basant this year after nearly two decades of a ban imposed on the festival in 2007.
People from all over Punjab and other provinces are flocking to the provincial capital to partake in the popular kite flying festival.
