Pakistani TikToker Ifrah Khan claimed that supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are issuing death threats to her and her family following a recent interview in which she praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, saying she is her ‘crush’ and is doing a great job in Punjab.

Ifrah Khan has recently shared a video on social media where she addresses the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.
She said that since her interview went viral, she has received different kinds of reactions. Some people criticised her while others praised her.
However, she further added that some people have taken her name and threatened her on a live TikTok broadcast.
She said that they didn’t just threaten her and made her a target of character assassination; they also targeted Pakistan’s institutions. She added that they also threatened Pakistani officials, saying that neither the institutions nor the officials can do anything against them.

Further, she alleged that they also defamed her family, who are not even public figures.
She further stated that threats of kidnapping and being shot are also being made against her.
Ifrah Khan shared her worry for her family and staff at home. She questioned what their fault is? ‘Why are they being dragged into this?’
She also shared a video where a man could be heard threatening her and using inappropriate language.
Ifrah Khan named Maham Shaheen and Momina Shaheen, accusing them of fuelling the propaganda. She said there are other names involved as well, how ever did not reveal their names.
She further stated that the protection of her life, property and dignity are responsibility of the Punjab government. Ifrah Khan further stated that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ‘taken responsibility’ that women will feel safe in Punjab.
She revealed that this all was started by supporters of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) just because she had praised CM Maryam, appreciating her work in the province.
That is from where ‘extreme PTI supporters’ started targeting her, she said. Further adding, this has been continuing for the previous 10 days, and now it is affecting her reputation and respect.
She demanded security and the arrest of these people since they not only targeted and defamed her, but also tried to do the same to Punjabs instituions.
