Rawalpindi: The hearing of the Toshakhana-2 case is likely to be held today at Adiala Jail. According to sources, court staff have informed the founder’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, about the venue and schedule of the proceedings.

The proceedings will be conducted by the Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand, who has arrived in the Adiala jail.

PTI founder and Bushra Bibi will be produced in the courtroom.

Recording of evidence, statements under Section 342, and final arguments have already been completed.

Sources indicate that the court may reserve its verdict after hearing the prosecution’s response during today’s hearing.

Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi will appear along with his team.

The PTI founder’s sisters are also expected to arrive at Adiala Jail to attend the hearing.

The Toshakhana-2 case pertains to allegations regarding the alleged misuse and improper handling of state gifts received during the PTI founder Imran Khan’s tenure in office.

The prosecution maintains that the gifts were not declared or managed in accordance with the relevant rules, while the defense has consistently denied the allegations, terming the case politically motivated.

The case has been under trial for several months, with previous hearings focusing on arguments from both sides and the submission of legal responses.

Today’s proceedings are considered significant, as the court is expected to move closer to a final decision by reserving its verdict.

The last hearing in the Toshakhana-II case was held on October 16. Since then, the hearing has been postponed three times.
