After the success of these two versions, Toyota is currently working to produce more Fortuner SUVs. The company aims to attract more customers by filling the existing gaps by launching the two new Toyota models, including the Fortuner 2026 and Legender.

Ninth-Generation Hilux
Toyota is planning to produce a new ninth-generation Hilux in 2026. The company will make the Hilux on the same IMV platform as the Fortuner. According to the media report, Toyota will place the new Hilux under the Fortuner in its lineup.
According to the details, the ninth-generation Hilux will come in an updated design. The company has introduced a front fascia called the ‘Cyber Sumo Face,’ inspired by the Sumo wrestler. The new design of Toyota’s ninth-generation Hilux will be sharper and more aggressive.
Land Cruiser FJ
Toyota plans to launch the Land Cruiser FJ SUV in India by 2028. The company will position it below the Fortuner, targeting buyers who want a smaller but capable off-roader.
Built on the Fortuner’s IMV platform, the FJ will launch with a petrol-only option, using the Fortuner’s 2.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Toyota is likely to add a diesel version a year later, featuring the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine.
Three-Row Toyota Hyryder
At the same time, Toyota is currently working on a seven-seater Hyryder SUV. The company is expecting to release its powerful machine in the next few years.
