Traffic diversions on Srinagar Highway from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM has announced by Islamabad Traffic police on Thursday.

Travelers who are traveling from Zero Point and Garden Avenue Expressway are advised to use other routes.

As per the authorities that the citizens can use Jinnah Avenue, Ninth Avenue, Seventh Avenue, Club Road and inner-city service roads during this period.

To avoid inconvenience the travelers are directed to use their travel with an additional 20 to 25 minutes.

During this time traffic police officers will be on duty on roads to ease smooth traffic flow.

Crackdown continues against Non-M-Tag Vehicles in Islamabad

Also authorities in the federal capital have continued operations against vehicles without M-Tags registration.

Readers have been fully activated at various checkpoints across the city to identify non-tagged vehicles.

M-Tag installation is also ongoing at 15 designated booth points set up in different areas of Islamabad.

According to the Director General Excise, vehicles without M-Tags are being stopped at multiple checkpoints as part of the enforcement drive.

The DG Excise has urged citizens to get their vehicles fitted with M-Tags at the earliest to avoid legal complications and inconvenience.

After multiple extensions, the deadline for M-tag registration expired. Vehicles without M-Tag are not allowed to enter the premises of Islamabad from 15 January 2026 without M-Tag.

The citizens had been warned that further action will be taken under the relevant rules.
