Multiple trails, including Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the one behind the Saidpur village in Islamabad, were closed to the public on June 23.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, has issued an official notification of the closure of all the mentioned trails.
In his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, DC Islamabad notified that Trails no. 2, 3, 4, 5 and the one behind the Saidpur village will remain closed to the public from June 23, 2026, until further notice.
He also requested the public to cooperate and avoid visiting these areas.

ICT police issues travel advisory for Islamabad traffic
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police have issued a traffic plan for June 23 ahead of the visit of the Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, to Pakistan.
According to the travel advisory posted by the ICT police on social media platforms, every kind of heavy travelling vehicle (HTV) will be banned from entering the capital from 12am onwards, except for the routes that are allowed to travel.
The authorities also said that all entry points to the Red Zone will be a no-go area for all types of traffic, except for access through Marriott and Margalla Road.
The traffic will be diverted on the Expressway from Koral to Faizabad, Murree Road, and Club Road. Meanwhile, Srinagar Highway will remain completely closed from Zero Point to Dhokri Chowk.
The traffic on Faisal Avenue and Zero Point will be diverted towards 9th Avenue.
If the route from Zero Point to Koral Chowk is closed, commuters can use Srinagar Highway, then move through 9th Avenue, Stadium Road, and Murree Road via Chandni Chowk before taking Rawal Road to reach Koral.
In case Club Road is closed from Park Road, traffic will be diverted toward Taramri Chowk. Citizens travelling between Bharakahu and Rawalpindi have been advised to use Korang Road, Bani Gala, and Lehtrar Road as alternate routes.
The public of Rawalpindi Saddar travelling to Islamabad has been advised to use Colonel Sher Khan Road via Faqir Aipi Road or 9th Avenue.
A separate diversion plan has also been issued for heavy traffic on the GT Road. Vehicles travelling from Peshawar to Lahore will be redirected from Taxila to the Motorway, then through Chakri Interchange, Chak Beli Road, and onward to Rawat GT Road.
Just like this, heavy traffic moving from Lahore to Peshawar will be moved from Rawat through Chak Beli Road and Chakri Interchange.
Residents have been advised to use alternate routes during the movement of the foreign delegation.
The resident have been further advised that they should plan their travel in advance and should choose their routes as mentioned in the travel advisory.
