Medical treatment for Imran Khan has begun at Adiala Jail, administered by a medical team. According to sources, a team comprising senior doctors from leading hospitals has been present at the Adiala jail since 2:30 pm to conduct Imran Khan’s medical examination in the presence of the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
However, despite an invitation from the government and prolonged waiting, no PTI leader arrived at the jail to attend the medical check-up process. The doctors have just begun treating Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
Major development in Imran Khan’s medical care ambulance has reached Adiala Jail. Sources said that an ambulance from Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital reached Adiala Jail. The ambulance was carrying various medicines and medical equipment and was sent inside Adiala Jail through Gate No. 5.
Medical treatment records of PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail have been sent to the Punjab Home Department, sources said.
According to sources, a complete chart of the PTI founder’s vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and blood sugar levels has also been forwarded. Reports regarding his eye condition, consultant opinions and details of the medical staff have likewise been sent to the Home Department.
According to sources, the ambulance included medical instruments for eye examinations and doctors are also expected to visit the jail today to conduct the PTI founder’s medical check-up.
It is pertinent to mentioned that The federal government has decided to transfer Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, to a hospital.
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the government has taken this decision in view of Imran Khan’s health.
In a tweet, he said, “The government prioritises humanitarian compassion and legal requirements. Providing facilities to every prisoner in accordance with the law is the government’s responsibility.”
“Politics should not be done on sensitive matters like health. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf should refrain from baseless propaganda or political point-scoring”, he added.
Imran Khan was diagnosed with a serious eye condition known as Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), a disorder that commonly affects older adults and is linked to underlying cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease.
Earlier, Khan had been allowed a phone call with his sons, Kasim Khan and Suleiman Isa Khan.
The Supreme Court (SC) ordered that Imran be allowed to speak to his children.
