'Tuesday deadline against Iran final,' says Trump

The President of the United States of America (US), Donald Trump, while talking to the media on Monday, said that the Tuesday deadline against Iran is the final one.

Adding more, President Trump said that Iran will have no power plants until a deal is struck.

President Trump announced this to the press as Easter celebrations continued at the White House.

‘I’d take Iran’s oil if I could’, says Trump

“If I had my choice, what would I like to do? Take the oil, because it’s there for the taking. There’s not a thing they can do about it,” he said.

“Unfortunately, the American people would like to see us come home. If it were up to me, I take the oil, I keep the oil, I would make plenty of money, and I’d also take care of the people of Iran much better than they’ve been taken care of,” he added.

Trump then referred to the oil that the US is receiving from Venezuela after capturing its former leader, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife in January.

“Venezuela has worked out so incredibly,” Trump said. “We have 100 million barrels of oil right now in Houston being refined. It’s been great.”

He further stated that negotiations are happening with “reasonable people” in the Iranian government.

Trump says Iran’s new leaders are ‘much less radicalised compared to previous leaders who have been killed since the start of the war’.

President Trump was questioned regarding his recent use of “such vulgar language” in his Truth Social post yesterday. Referencing the expletives he used in his latest threat to Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.

“Only to make my point,” he replied, adding, “I think you’ve heard it before.”

The Strait lies between Oman and Iran and links the Gulf north of it with the Gulf of Oman to the south and the Arabian Sea beyond.

It is 21 miles or 33 km wide at its narrowest point. The shipping lane is just 2 miles or 3 km wide in either direction.

Yesterday, Trump hinted at a ceasefire, saying that the “deal with Iran could be done by tomorrow”.

In an exclusive talk with Fox News, he said, “If they don’t make a deal, and fast, I’m considering blowing everything up and taking over the oil.”

“You’re going to see bridges and power plants dropping all over their country,” Trump added further, according to the report.

However, the US president said some Iranian officials are “negotiating now”.
