Two Pakistani youths found dead in London

LONDON: Two Pakistani youths have lost their lives in Swindon area of UK due to a poisonous gas leakage.

According to family sources, the two Pakistan youths died due to leakage of Carbon Monoxide gas  as a result of a  malfunction in the heating system.

Both victims aged 32 and 34 respectively, had come to Britain legally on student visas and were residents of Kotli Sattian area of Rawalpindi.

A family member said the deaths were caused by gases linked to the heating system inside the house. “I don’t think they had carbon monoxide detectors,” he added.

Police initially called it a “medical incident” and confirmed they are not treating the deaths as suspicious. They have shared no further details.

The two men were found in an outbuilding behind the main house. Fire crews used special equipment on the scene to check for toxic gases. It’s still unclear if the gas leak was accidental or intentional. More details are expected only after the inquest.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said their crews, wearing breathing apparatus, were asked by the ambulance team to inspect the property and ensure it was safe for others to enter. “There was no fire and no danger to the public,” the statement added.

Wiltshire Police said two men, aged 32 and 34, were discovered unresponsive at an address on Morrison Street in Swindon. Paramedics responded after being alerted by a member of the public. Though formal identification is pending, their families have been informed. The police expressed condolences to the bereaved.

The news has sent shockwaves through their hometown, where relatives and friends are mourning the sudden loss.

The family has urged authorities to investigate the cause of the leak to prevent such incidents in the future.

Funeral prayers for the deceased were held in Ilford, London, which was attended by a large number of people from the Pakistani community.
