KARACHI: The National Cyber Crime Intelligence Agency (NCCIA) has arrested two suspects while conducting an operation against the network of the Indian intelligence agency “RAW”.
According to the NCCIA spokesperson, cases have been registered against the arrested persons under various sections of the Electronic Crimes Act (PICA) and the Pakistan Penal Code.
The spokesperson said that evidence of mobile phones and financial transactions has been recovered from the suspects, while initial investigations have revealed that the accused were transferring information from sensitive installations on social media.
According to the NCCIA, more evidence has come to light during forensic examination, and investigations are underway to trace the foreign links of the network.
The spokesperson said that all possible steps are being taken to protect Pakistan’s digital national security.
It merits mentioning that two months back in a major operation by federal intelligence agencies and Counter-Terrorism Departmnet (CTD) Sindh amajor network of India’s spy agency, RAW), was busted in Karachi.
