ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a strong condemnation of the Israeli decision.
This was after Israel’s Cabinet voted to legalise and form 19 new settlements and approved the decision. These scandalous places are occupied in the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in the UAE dismissed the whole move outright.
MoFA made it clear that this move was a dangerous escalation. They announced that the ruling contravenes international law per se.
Moreover, this move sharply negatively affects the process of establishing long-term peace in the region.
The Ministry reiterated that it absolutely rejects such unilateral actions.
MoFA sent out warnings that any such annexation of the West Bank is not acceptable at all.
This expansionist policy kills the foundations of the Two-State Solution. The Ministry urged the international community to assist in the process of peace.
They called on the world powers to end such illegal practice soon.
The UAE announced that it was highly invested in protecting Palestinian rights.
This is a powerful diplomatic message that reminds us of the stance of the UAE.
