UAE summons its players back from PSL tournament

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has summoned back its players from the ongoing tournament of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11.

Two players representing the team of Karachi Kings in PSL were recalled by their country and have left the premises of Pakistan as of now.

Khuzaima bin Tanveer and Muhammad Waseem, who also remained the captain of the UAE cricket team, were being told by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to report back to the UAE to participate in the domestic D50 tournament.

Both the ECB and the officials of Karachi Kings are silent yet, as no statement has been released by either side so far.

According to the media reports, both of the key players were directly instructed by the board to immediately join the domestic 50-over tournament.

The D50 tournament is already underway from March 30, 2026, but the players were summoned back to play the two matches, as both of them were also representing their teams in their homeland.

They are expected to rejoin the PSL tournament once completed their tour back to bakc to UAE.

Talking about their next match, the Karachi Kings are ready to face Peshawar Zalmi in their next match.

The match is scheduled on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

It is still a question whether Khuzaima and Waseem will be joining their Karachi teammates for their next match or not.

The former UAE team captain, Muhammad Waseem, competed in three matches in the PSL as an opening batsman of the team.

He got a duck in his first, 38 runs in his second and 23 runs in his third match against Lahore Qalandars.

On the other hand, Khuzaima is yet to make his debut by playing his first match in the PSL.

Karachi Kings are currently in second position at the points table.

The team secured victory in all three matches, with six points and a net run rate of 0.486.
