Web desk: Pakistan Shaheens defeated the UAE in their Asia Cup Rising Stars clash.
UAE won the toss and chose to bat first against Pakistan Shaheens in the ninth match of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 at West End Park International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Pakistan Shaheens Bowl Out UAE for 59 in Rising Stars Clash
Pakistan’s bowlers dominated the UAE, bowling them out for 59 runs in 18 overs in their final group match of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars at West End Park International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
UAE batted first and struggled from the start. They lost three wickets in the power play. Ahmed Tariq was out for a first-ball duck to Shahid Aziz, making it 1-1.
Captain Alishan Sharafu scored only three before Arafat Minhas trapped him LBW. Sohaib Khan made two off 14 balls before Ahmed Daniyal dismissed him in the fifth over. UAE slipped to 15-3.
Sufiyan Muqeem removed Harshit Kaushik for five. Syed Haider and Yayin Kiran Rai tried to rebuild, but Maaz Sadaqat dismissed Haider for 20 off 19 balls. UAE fell to 42-5.
Daniyal struck again and removed Muhammad Arfan for a duck. Mohammad Shahzad sent Rai back for seven.
Muqeem returned in the 14th over and took two wickets. He removed Muhammad Farooq and Muhammad Rohid for ducks. UAE dropped to 50-9.
Sadaqat ended the innings by dismissing Muhammad Jawadullah. UAE were all out in 18 overs.
Muqeem led the attack with 3 for 12 in four overs. Sadaqat and Daniyal took two wickets each. Shahid Aziz, Muhammad Shahzad and Arafat Minhas took one wicket each.
Pakistan Shaheens Crush India A
Pakistan’s young star Maaz Sadaqat produced another outstanding all-round display as Pakistan Shaheens secured a dominant eight-wicket win over India A in the Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 in Doha.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, “Maaz Sadaqat carried on his blazing all-round form with a half-century and two wickets.”
His strong performance helped the Shaheens chase the 137-run target with ease, finishing the match with 40 balls left.
The attacking left-handed opener once again earned the player of the match award. It was his second in a row in the tournament.
Maaz stayed unbeaten on 79, a knock that featured “seven fours and four sixes,” and he also delivered “miserly bowling figures of 2-12 in three overs, including a wicket-maiden.”
