UK will not be involved in blockade of Strait of Hormuz

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the UK will not support the United States (US) in completely blocking the Strait of Hormuz. He also said that the UK will not get involved in the Iran war.

“We’re not supporting the blockade,” Keir Starmer said while speaking to the international media outlet.

“It is, in my view, vital that we get the Strait open and fully open, and that’s where we’ve put all of our efforts in the last few weeks, and we’ll continue to do so,” Starmer said.

The British Prime Minister also said that he has sent ships to clear the mines to make sure the Strait remains open. However, the British PM didn’t disclose extra details about the issue linked to the Strait of Hormuz.

Will the UK join war?

It is pertinent to mention that the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that there is pressure on Britain to join the Iran War. However, he clarified that Britain will not join the Iran war without any clear lawful basis.

“My decision has been very clear that whatever the pressure, and there’s been some considerable pressure, we’re not getting dragged into the war,” Keir Starmer said.
