US dealt ‘major defeat’ to Iran says Pete Hegseth

United States (US) Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, said that the US wrecked a “major defeat” on Iran, claiming the US military destroyed Iran’s major military installations. Pete Hegseth also said during his press conference that the US armed forces completely dismantled Iran’s air forces and missile systems.

The US Secretary of War also said that the US armed forces destroyed and reduced to dust Iran’s weapons manufacturing facilities.

He further claimed that Iran’s strategic facilities have been completely wiped out and now it’s just limited to a bunker-based system.

Pete Hegseth also said during a press briefing that the US used only 10 per cent of its military strength to achieve the outcomes during the six-week war with Iran. He termed it as an unprecedented success.

Pete Hegseth praises Donald Trump

US Secretary of War also praised US President Donald Trump, saying that President Trump achieved huge success and no other US president has achieved this type of milestone.

He also said that the success achieved under Trump’s administration is unmatched. Trump has made history and delivered what he promised, Pete Hegseth added. He also said that Iran had agreed with the US’s conditions, and then President Trump asked for a ceasefire as a goodwill gesture.

Iran’s nuclear weapons

Pete Hegseth also said that after the recent six-week war, Iran would not be able to develop nuclear weapons. He also said that the US armed forces rescued its two pilots from Iran after a 14-hour military operation.

Pakistan’s role as mediator

It is pertinent to mention Pakistan’s role as a mediator between the US and Iran. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played an important role in the ceasefire between the US and Iran.
