The US Embassy has issued a new statement regarding visa appointments. According to the statement issued by the US Embassy in Pakistan, all immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments are halted until March 20.

The spokesperson of the US Embassy said that the US Embassy in Islamabad will continue to provide services to American citizens. According to the spokesperson, the affected visa applicants will receive instructions via email to reschedule their appointments.

As per the given instructions by the US Embassy, the applicants can check the status of their appointments on the website.

At the same time, the statement issued by the US Embassy stated that all consular services at the US Consulates in Karachi and Lahore will remain suspended until further notice.

Earlier, the United States (US) Embassy in Islamabad announced the latest update on the resumption of visa services in Pakistan.

In a statement posted on X (Twitter), the embassy said, “All immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments are cancelled through March 20. Affected visa applicants will receive instructions by email on rescheduling their appointments.”

It will continue to provide routine and emergency services to U.S. citizens despite the temporary halt in visa processing.

Applicants have also been advised to check the status of their appointments through the official visa services portal.
