US-Iran peace talks on April 11
Prior to this, the president of the US, Donald Trump, told The Post today that he expects the peace talks with Iran to take place very soon in Pakistan after the ceasefire deal took place on Tuesday.

The US President had further added that JD Vance may not attend the talks due to security concerns. However, now it has been confirmed by the White House that he will be there.
“We’ll have Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, JD… maybe JD, I don’t know. There’s a question of safety, security,” Trump said in a phone interview, The NewYork Post reported.
Trump further added that in person talks will take place “very soon, actually, it’s going to take place very soon.”
The president on Tuesday accepted Iran’s 10-point counter-proposal on ending the conflict as a tentative framework to build a permanent deal, though some of the demands seem very unlikely to be finalised, the report adds.
