The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has convened an important meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee to sight the Shawwal 1447 AH moon, marking Eid ul Fitr.
Currently, a meeting has started at the Ministry’s office in Kohsar Block, Pak Secretariat, Constitution Avenue, Islamabad.
The meeting is being chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Alongside the central session, zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will also meet at their respective headquarters across the country.
Authorities have urged the public to report any moon sighting by providing testimony or relevant information to the committee. A final announcement regarding the sighting of the Shawwal moon and the date of Eid ul Fitr will be made after reviewing reports and technical data received nationwide.
