Belonging of late field marshal Ayub Khan stolen

ISLAMABAD : Valuable historic belongings of late Field Marshal Ayub Khan were stolen from the house of his great grandson in Sector F-8/2. The stolen items are worth around Rs8 million.

According to police, the incident took place on October 26, and a case has been registered at Margalla Police Station Islamabad on the complaint of Ayub Khan’s great-grandson, Taimur Khan.

The police registered an FIR under Section 380 of the Pakistan Penal Code and initiated a search operation for the suspect.

The FIR states that an unknown woman jumped over the gate, entered the drawing room, and stole precious items linked to late president Ayub Khan.

The stolen belongings include Ayub Khan’s invitation scroll, a silver bowl made from a deer’s mouth, a silver tray, a serving dish, spoon, two silver lamps, a silver plate, and utensils.

Police said the woman managed to escape after the theft. A special team has been formed to recover the stolen historic items.

Field Marshal Ayub Khan was a Pakistani military officer and served as the second President of Pakistan from 1958 to 1969.
