The “American Bhabhi” is once again going viral on social media on her visit to Pakistan and admiration for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s culture have captured users’ attention around.
The American woman named Mandy has recently come to Pakistan where she admired the cultural colors, pleasant weather and the warmth and hospitality of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that attracts the netizens on social media.
On this occasion speaking to the media in Peshawar, Mandy said that she came to Pakistan to see her husband and felt extremely pleased after arriving.
She said the culture, traditions and sincerity of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deeply touched her heart and left a strong impression on her.
Mandy said that after staying in the United States she once again came to Dir district which is her husband’s family birthplace.
According to her, Pashtun culture and natural beauty have had a deep impact on her and she hopes to visit Pakistan again in the future.
It is pertinent to mentioned that Mindy Rasmussen, a 47-year-old woman from Chicago, USA, married her 31-year-old fiancé a resident of Usherai Dara, a remote village in Upper Dir.
Mindy Rasmussen, who met Sajid Zeb Khan online nearly a year ago through Facebook, arrived in Pakistan earlier on a 90-day visit visa.
After converting to Islam and adopting the name Zulekha, she solemnised her marriage (nikkah) with Sajid in Upper Dir, in accordance with local customs and Islamic traditions.
The ceremony was held in the Sadiqa Banda village, Usherai Dara valley.
The relationship, which began with online chats and video calls, soon evolved into a committed bond. Ms Rasmussen eventually proposed to Sajid and, after receiving approval from both families, she travelled to Pakistan with the intention of getting married.
