Walee Technologies has succeeded in securing the consolidated media and broadcast rights for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the 2026-2029 cycle.

The company has achieved the rights with a record bid of Rs2,611 crore.

Under the agreement, the company will manage television and digital live-streaming rights within Pakistan.

It will also handle most international media rights for the tournament, excluding India.

The deal places Walee at the centre of how PSL matches will be shown to fans both in Pakistan and abroad over the next four seasons.

Muhammad Ahsan Tahir, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walee Technologies, said the aim is to use technology to connect cricket fans with the league in new ways.

“Our mission is to bridge the gap between the stadium and the screen using modern technology,” he said. “We want to deliver a viewing experience developed in Pakistan that reaches fans around the world.”

Expanded PSL format from 2026

The new media cycle will begin with PSL 11, which is scheduled to start on 26 March 2026.

From that season, the league will expand to eight teams, with a total of 44 matches played each year.

Organisers say the change is intended to grow the tournament and attract a wider audience.

Matches will be broadcast on television channels including Ten Sports, PTV Sports and Geo Super, while digital streaming options will also be available.

Partnerships to strengthen coverage

Walee has also announced partnerships with several companies to support the new broadcast setup.

Streaming platform Tapmad will act as the exclusive ad-free digital partner for PSL 11 in Pakistan.

The service is expected to provide uninterrupted live coverage for viewers watching online.

The company has also partnered with Myco, which will handle television sales and monetisation rights for PSL 2026.

The partnership is aimed at expanding the commercial reach of the tournament.

In addition, Walee is working with Lanex as part of its broader media and technology collaboration to improve the distribution and viewing experience for cricket fans.
