ISLAMABAD: A heated war of words between PTI activist Shahbaz Gill and journalists from the Geo News group on X has sparked fresh debate over political and journalistic confrontations on social media.
The controversy began when Noreen Saleem, in a sarcastic tweet, referred to Shahbaz Gill’s prison days and highlighted his alleged weaknesses.
She claimed that he “peed in his pants” when reminded of his past, and later “sang like a canary,” revealing everything to the officers before being released.
She also suggested this was why PTI founder Imran Khan had removed him from his inner circle, and that he is now outside the country pretending to be one of PTI’s biggest supporters.

In response, Shahbaz Gill used harsh language and accused the Geo Group of running an organized campaign against him.
He tweeted that the entire Geo Jang group is active against him, but he is ready to fight this “mafia” alone. He also instructed his supporters not to respond immorally to opposing women but to give a strong response to other critics.
