We will not sit idle until complete elimination of terrorism: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has made it clear that government and country security forces will not sit idly until the complete elimination of terrorism from the country and war again this evil will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

He expressed this while talking to political leaders during his visit to Quetta on Thursday. He said that terrorism is the biggest threat to Pakistan’s peace, economy and national unity and the entire nation must unite to eliminate it.

Field Marshal leading ongoing war against terrorism with courage

Prime Minister stated that Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is leading the Pakistan Armed Forces in the ongoing war against terrorism with courage.   “Pakistan Army, law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies were making exemplary sacrifices and the nation salutes their sacrifices’ he added. He reiterated that whole nation presented salute to country armed forces and law enforcements agencies for their struggle and brave fight against evil elements.    

He said that despite several challenges, the Balochistan cabinet and its leadership are working day and night in the spirit of public service, which is commendable.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the Chief Minister of Balochistan on being elected as the head of the Bugti tribes and termed it a positive development for the province. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that just as incidents of terrorism are coming to light in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan is also being affected by terrorism.

He also paid great tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, Levies, Police and other security forces and said that thanks to these soldiers, the defense of the country is in strong hands.

NFC Award

Referring to the NFC award, the Prime Minister said that in 2010, the then Chief Minister of Balochistan Aslam Raisani had taken a clear stand that if Balochistan’s share was not increased by 100 percent, he would not sign. He said that on this occasion, Punjab gave Rs 11 billion from its share to Balochistan, which is an example of inter-provincial harmony. Now a new committee has been formed for the NFC award so that the rights of the provinces can be fairly determined.

The Prime Minister, while mentioning the development projects, said that the road from Karachi to Chaman is under construction at a cost of Rs 300 billion, which will play an important role in the economic activities of Balochistan. In addition, five Danish schools are being established in the province, where poor and deserving boys and girls will be provided quality education.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on his becoming as chief of the Bugti tribe and the completion of the traditional turban-tying (Dastar Bandi) ceremony.

Prime Minister Shshbaz expressed confidence that CM Sarfraz Bugti would continue to fulfill his responsibilities with vision, carefulness, and a strong commitment to public service. He emphasized that Bugti’s leadership would contribute positively to unity and stability within the province.

Reaffirming the Federal government’s full support for the Balochistan government, the prime minister added that the centre would continue to work closely with the province in its efforts toward development, peace, stability, and prosperity. He reiterated the federal government’s commitment to addressing Balochistan’s challenges and ensuring inclusive growth for its people.
