Weather clear, Motorways open for motorists

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest travel advisory from the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), due to clear weather, all of the motorways under its jurisdiction are open to travel today.

The officials have said that no fog has been witnessed today, and the commuters are free to use the roads.

The continuous dense fog in the Punjab and Sindh areas has reduced to zero, and travel conditions have improved on Friday morning.

The major travelling motorways M-1, M-2, M-4, and M-5 are reported to be clear.

On the other hand, NHMP officials have also advised motorists to avoid travelling during peak fog hours.

They requested the public to travel between the time line of 10:00 am and 06:00 pm.

NHMP added to travel when the weather is clear.  The commuters should contact 130 before travelling.

They can get information regarding the updates on the motorway.

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has closed motorways M-4 and M-11 in Punjab today, due to dense fog.

The officials warned the motorists not to travel unnecessarily and to follow the safety guidelines strictly.
The motorway M-4 is closed between Sham Kot and Shershah.

M-11 motorway will remain closed from the Main Toll plaza to Sambrial.
While all other motorways are open for travel for the commuters.
