Weather forecast: Hailstorm predicted in parts of Islamabad

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted the possibility of a hailstorm in certain areas of Islamabad in the latest weather forecast update.

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with a likelihood of moderate rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms (including some heavy rainfall at times) in the districts of Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battgram, Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from the evening of 9 to 12 March.

Light rain with wind and thunderstorms is also expected in Khyber, Mohmand, Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bajaur, Bannu, Waziristan, Orakzai, Kurram, Kohat, Hangu, and Mianwali on the 10th and 11th of March.

Weather forecast reveals rain, along with wind and thunderstorms, expected in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Murree, Galliyat, and nearby areas from the night of the 9th to the 11th of March, with occasional breaks in precipitation.

Rain predicted in weather forecast for Islamabad

Earlier, the Meteorological Department had forecasted rain in Islamabad and across the nation within the next 24 hours.

According to the department’s report, the weather in the Islamabad is expected to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of rain in certain areas during the night.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the skies are expected to remain overcast, and several districts in the region may experience rainfall.

Rainfall is anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kurram, Khyber, Mohmand, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

In contrast, the majority of Punjab is expected to remain dry and warm during the daytime.
