Rain of different intensities are forecasted for the southern regions of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, with intermittent breaks in new weather forecast.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave is currently affecting the southwestern and central areas of Pakistan, which is expected to continue for the next 18 to 24 hours.
Due to the new weather forecast, light to moderate rain is anticipated in the southern regions of the country on Monday night and Tuesday.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Chaghi, Nokkundi, Dalbandin, Noushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Mustung, Bar Khan, Sibbi, Loralai, Khuzdar, Kech, Turbat, Panjgur, Gawadar, Awaran, Kharan, Pasni, Ormara, and Lasbella on Monday night and Tuesday, with occasional breaks.
Rain predicted in Sindh
Rain is also anticipated in Dadu, Hyderabad, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Shukur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Khairpur on Tuesday. Gusty winds that may raise dust are also likely during this period.
Weather forecast for this week also anticipates light to moderate rain, along with winds and thunderstorms, in Waziristan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Kurram on Monday night and Tuesday.
Additionally, light rain or drizzle, paired with gusty and dust-raising winds, is also forecasted for isolated areas in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Bahawalpur, and nearby regions on Tuesday.
Furthermore, hailstorms are expected in northern Balochistan, Dera Ismail Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan throughout the forecast period.
