The U.S. Department of Justice has released millions of documents known as the Epstein files. These files are tied to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender whose network of emails, flight logs, and photos spans many years. The latest Epstein files show that tech billionaire Elon Musk exchanged emails with Jeffrey Epstein, along with other well-known figures such as Bill Gates and Reid Hoffman.
According to the Epstein files, Elon Musk and Jeffrey Epstein communicated in 2012 and 2013. Their messages included discussions about travel plans and social events. Some emails reportedly mentioned Elon Musk’s interest in visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean, a place linked to Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking.

After the release of the Epstein files, Elon Musk addressed the situation on social media. He said he had “very little correspondence” with Jeffrey Epstein and that he declined invitations to visit Epstein’s private properties. Musk also stated that he supports making the Epstein files public and believes that real justice comes from arresting those directly involved in Epstein’s crimes, not just releasing documents.
The inclusion of Elon Musk and other prominent figures in the Epstein files has raised questions about the extent of Jeffrey Epstein’s network. Even years after Epstein’s death in 2019, the files have brought global attention to his social and professional connections.
Survivors’ advocates and lawmakers say that releasing the Epstein files is only a first step. They are calling for more transparency and accountability to bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein.
