WhatsApp to introduce voice and video calling on web app

WhatsApp Voice Video calling

WhatsApp is going to launch a new feature of video and voice calling through its web app. This new feature will help users to make voice and video calls through their computers and other devices by just logging in to WhatsApp on the web app.

The WhatsApp web app can help users check their messages from computers easily without downloading anything. But on WhatsApp web, users can only check messages, as the facility of voice and video calls is still not available. However, it’s finally changing as WABetalnfo has confirmed that WhatsApp is going to launch voice and video calling features on the web app.

It is pertinent to mention that after this new feature, users can do voice and video calling by logging in to WhatsApp on a browser.

The outlet confirmed that calls work through prominent “Voice” and “Video” buttons, but the calls are “still under development to ensure a bug-free experience.” For now, users can “start calls directly from individual chats.”

However, there are no confirmed reports that WhatsApp will launch its new feature of voice and video calling.

Close Friends feature on WhatsApp

Earlier, there were reports that WhatsApp had decided to launch its new “close friends” feature to improve privacy. It is important to mention that the “close friends” feature already exists in Instagram. By introducing this feature, users can show their WhatsApp status to only selected people. This feature will help users edit the list of close friends from their statuses.

In many cases, people just want to show their statuses to selected individuals on WhatsApp, and the launch of this feature will surely improve their privacy.

However, the WABetalnfo said that the outlet has not confirmed the dates to launch these new features.
