Web desk: The Punjab government has announced winter vacations for schools across the province.
The break will begin on December 22nd and continue until January 10th, allowing students and staff to enjoy the seasonal vacation.

As temperatures drop across the country, winter vacations have been announced for schools in Balochistan as well.
According to the Balochistan Education Department, all public and private schools in the province will remain closed from 16th December for approximately two and a half months.
Winter Vacations in Balochistan
Previously, the Balochistan Education Department announced that government schools in the coldest regions of the province will have an extended winter vacation of two and a half months starting from December 16.
These long holidays are given each year to protect students from harsh winter weather and to allow schools to plan educational activities according to the conditions.
Meanwhile, schools in other colder areas, including Chaman, are continuing regular classes and examinations before the winter break.
In Chaman, annual exams for grades one to seven started on November 16 and will continue until November 24, while grade eight exams begin on November 24.
Students are taking exams in various subjects under the supervision of school administrations.
The Balochistan Board is overseeing the examinations and managing the results for middle-level classes across the province.
Education officials said schools will reopen after the winter vacation once temperatures rise to safe and suitable levels for learning.
Some people worry that winter vacations may affect students’ learning progress. However, research shows that short breaks actually improve focus and motivation.
Students return to school with renewed energy and better attention.
Teachers also use the break for training, planning lessons, and marking exams. This also helps improve the overall quality of education.
