Winter vacations extension in Punjab schools

KARACHI: After Punjab and Balochistan, the Sindh government has also announced winter vacations in schools and colleges across the province.

According to a spokesperson for the Education Department’s Steering Committee, all public and private educational institutions in the province will remain closed from December 22 and will resume on December 31.

“All educational institutions will reopen on January 1,” the department’s spokesperson added.

Moreover, he said that supplementary examinations conducted by the education boards will continue as per their pre-announced schedule and will not be affected by the winter vacation.

Winter vacations in Balochistan and Punjab schools

The Balochistan education department issued the schedule of winter vacations. All the public and private schools in the province will remain closed from 16 December for two and a half months.

On the other hand, Punjab also released a schedule for winter vacations, stating that educational institutes will kick off the holidays from 23 December 2025. The schools will resume routine classes on 12 January 2026.
