When Will Winter Vacations Start? Government Makes Major Announcement

Web desk: Government schools located in the coldest regions of Balochistan will observe an extended winter vacation of two and a half months starting from December 16 this year.

The provincial education department has issued a formal announcement regarding this schedule.

As in previous years, these long vacations are being provided to ensure the safety of students in harsh winter conditions and to allow for the organisation of educational activities in accordance with the weather.

Meanwhile, educational activities are continuing in government schools in other cold areas, including Chaman, prior to the commencement of the winter vacations.

In Chaman, annual examinations for junior classes have already begun, followed by a busy schedule of ongoing educational activities.

According to the education department, annual examinations for grades one to seven started on November 16 and will continue across all government schools in Chaman until November 24.

During this period, students are sitting exams in various subjects, while school administrations are completing the examination processes according to the set schedule.

It was further informed that examinations for grade eight will commence from November 24.

These exams are being conducted under the supervision of the Balochistan Board, which is responsible for monitoring and organising the results of middle-level examinations throughout the province.

Education officials stated that schools will reopen after the winter vacation once temperatures improve sufficiently to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

The annual decision to grant extended winter vacations is made in view of the severe cold conditions and is considered necessary by both parents and educational authorities to ensure the health and safety of students.
