Web desk: The World Culture Festival 2025 opened today in Karachi, bringing together artists, musicians, and cultural groups from across Pakistan and around the world to celebrate unity, diversity, and creative expression.

Organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the festival aims to showcase global traditions and promote cultural understanding through music, dance, theatre, and art exhibitions.

This year’s edition features performances and workshops from countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, alongside Pakistan’s own rich heritage.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Arts Council President Ahmad Shah said the event is about celebrating every artist, not just the well-known names.

“This festival is for all creative souls who use art to build bridges of peace and understanding,” he said.

The festival grounds are filled with colourful displays, live performances, and food stalls offering cuisines from around the world.

Visitors can enjoy classical music, folk dances, poetry readings, and cultural dialogues throughout the event.

Artists and delegates from around the globe praised Karachi’s energy and hospitality, calling the city an ideal setting for a festival that celebrates both local and international culture.

The World Culture Festival will continue through the weekend, transforming Karachi into a hub of global creativity.

As performances light up the city, organisers say the message is simple: art has the power to unite people beyond borders, language, and religion.
