Reports say the chance of rain in the afternoon and evening could be between 55 and 60 per cent.

Temperatures are expected to range from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius. Strong winds and scattered showers with lightning are also possible.

The match will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM local time.

These hours also have the highest chance of rain. This could also affect the completion of the game.

Under the tournament points system, if the match is washed out due to rain, both Pakistan and India will be awarded one point each.

Media reports say a weekend trip to Colombo for the India-Pakistan match now costs around AED 7,000.

Travel agents have also reported a sharp increase in bookings over the past few days. Both flight tickets and hotel prices have gone up.

“Airfares have risen noticeably, and hotel rates have been adjusted upwards due to the heightened demand,” said one travel agent.
