YouTube Premium users in several European countries and Singapore are set to pay higher subscription fees from September 2026, with Google confirming price increases of up to 15%. The revised rates will take effect from September 23, with affected subscribers paying the new prices from their next billing cycle.

According to Google, subscribers whose next payment is due on or after September 23 will be charged at the new rates. According to reports, the monthly price of an individual YouTube Premium plan in some European countries will increase from €13.99 to €15.99. In Finland, the monthly fee will rise from €14.99 to €16.99.
In Romania, the price of an individual subscription will increase from 29 Romanian lei to 32 lei per month. Similarly, in Singapore, the individual plan will increase from S$13.98 to S$15.98 per month, while the family plan will rise from S$27.98 to S$31.98. Google is announcing the price increases for different countries in phases. The company previously raised YouTube Premium prices in the US, with some plans increasing by as much as $4 per month.
YouTube Premium subscription prices are not increased frequently. However, when prices are raised, Google typically implements the changes in different countries in phases rather than introducing them globally at the same time. According to Google, the latest price increase will apply from the next billing date for affected users, provided that the billing date falls on or after September 23, 2026.
