IGP KP orders inquiry
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed took notice after the video gained attention online.
According to police officials, the IGP directed the Hazara Regional Police Officer (RPO) to investigate the incident. The inquiry is expected to determine how the activity was allowed to take place inside the office.
Police officials confirmed that the person seen getting his hair done was a YouTuber. They said a barber was brought into the DPO office for him.
Officials also cconfirmed that Haripur DPO Shafiullah Gandapur was not present inside the office when the video was recorded.
The YouTuber had gone to the DPO office for an interview related to the Ayat Noor case. The sources claimed that during the interaction, the YouTuber was told that his hair needed to be fixed. A barber was then reportedly called to the office to style his hair.
Another report said the YouTuber wanted his hair arranged before recording his interaction at the office and that a barber was called at his request.
The exact circumstances are still expected to be clarified by the official inquiry.
