The actor said in a video posted online that “I’ll make sure this never happens again, I feel guilty that I declared them wrongdoers.”
“I have crossed my limits in sentiments,” he said, stating that, “No one except almighty God has the right to declare anyone sinful.”
“Dozakh main sarengey!”
When asked about social media, the 41-year-old said, “Although I use social media, I hate it. I think it’s the most evil and destructive invention. All the creators of these platforms will burn in hell.”
He added, “I look at social media with contempt and hatred. It is the complete opposite of how human beings, and especially Muslims, should live.”
Zahid explained that Islam teaches humility and modesty, but social media promotes self-projection and pride.
“It’s about showing off your life, your family, your followers. It’s the devil at work,” he said.
He also said that social media should only be used for business. “The social part of it is harmful. It makes people compare themselves, judge others, and enjoy others’ misery,” he added.
He mentioned that even TikTokers have been killed recently, showing how dangerous this world has become.
The Daldal actor said people have normalised this madness. “They will laugh at me for criticising social media while using it. But no one dares to speak the truth,” he said. Zahid added that people who insult others online can never do it in person.
His harsh words have sparked a big debate online. Many content creators and netizens criticised his remarks.
