Ukraine's Zelensky meets US President Trump in Florida

Florida: The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met US President Donald Trump in Florida to discuss the plan of ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Zelensky arrived at the Florida resort of Mar-a-Lago to meet with US President Trump, and Trump welcomed him.

According to the media reports, just before the arrival of the Ukrainian President, Trump spoke to the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

He was on a phone call with the Russian President, and called the talks very good and “productive.”

Speaking to the media, President Trump said that he thinks that the Russian President is quite serious about the ceasefire, and both nations must agree to the peace now.

Today’s talks with the Ukrainian President will be very good.

By emphasising the peace in Ukraine, the US President said that this meeting will also include a security agreement and economic benefits for Ukraine.

“I do think we have the makings of a deal,” Trump said. “We have two willing countries. We are in the final stages of talking,” Trump said.

He said that after meeting with Zelensky, he will call Putin and will also talk to European leaders on the phone.

Russia has launched multiple missile attacks in Kyiv after the Ukrainian President left for a meeting with his counterpart.

Meanwhile, if we recall, Zelensky also met Trump in February 2025 at the White House.

But the meeting could not be successful at all.
