Cloudflare Down: Disrupts Major Websites, Apps

Web desk: Cloudflare is currently facing an outage, causing problems for many major websites and online services on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Cloudflare is a large internet infrastructure company. It helps improve the speed, security, and reliability of websites, apps, and networks.

The company runs a global network of data centres that act as a link between users and a website’s main server.

The outage is affecting Cloudflare’s global network, dashboard, and API. This is causing many users to see 500 errors when trying to access websites.

Which Websites Are Not Working?

Many websites and apps rely on Cloudflare. Some of the services affected include:

  • X (formerly Twitter)
  • OpenAI (including ChatGPT and Gemini)
  • Spotify
  • Canva
  • Uber
  • Perplexity
  • Letterboxd
  • League of Legends

Cloudflare Down

Cloudflare supports many popular websites, so when it has an outage, it can disrupt a large part of the internet.

Cloudflare acknowledged the issue on its service status page at 11:48 UTC, stating that it was “aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers.”

The company reported widespread 500 errors, while its own Dashboard and API were also failing.

In a later update, Cloudflare said it was beginning to see partial recovery. They said that users might continue to experience elevated error rates as remediation efforts continued.

Is X Down?

Users in Pakistan and around the world have reported that social media platform X, formerly Twitter, is down. Downdetector has confirmed the outage.

According to Downdetector.com, Elon Musk’s X faced issues for thousands of users in the U.S. on Tuesday. By 6:51 a.m. ET, the site had received more than 5,600 reports of problems.

Cloudflare (NET.N), a web infrastructure company, was also experiencing issues that affected other services. It was unclear if the two outages were connected.

At around 6:40 a.m. ET, Cloudflare said on its status page that it was investigating the problem. The company’s shares dropped 4.1 per cent in premarket trading.

“We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow shortly,” Cloudflare said, according to Reuters.
