Maryam Aurangzeb announces bonus for Suthra Punjab workers

Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb announced that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a cash reward of Rs10,000 for each worker participating in the Suthra Punjab sanitation campaign.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore alongside Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, Aurangzeb said more than 41,000 people contacted the official helpline during Eidul Adha.

She said sanitation teams continued their work despite harsh weather and helped keep cities and towns clean across Punjab.

Aurangzeb praised the efforts of all departments involved in the cleanliness drive and congratulated the people of Punjab and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on the successful operation.

She said citizens appreciated the cleanliness arrangements, while the Suthra Punjab programme became one of the top trends on social media in Pakistan. Authorities also ensured proper monitoring and sanitation measures at cattle markets.

Aurangzeb said Maryam Nawaz remained focused on public service and personally supervised the operation throughout the Eid holidays.

She added that provincial institutions and district administrations worked together to make the campaign a success, while sanitation workers played a vital role in achieving the results.

She urged provinces to learn from each other’s successful initiatives and said the government’s main goal is to provide better services to the public.

Talking about the chief minister’s health, Aurangzeb said Maryam Nawaz underwent a successful surgery at Sharif Medical City and will not travel abroad for further treatment.
