Pakistan head coach Nolberto Solano has announced the national football squad for the upcoming four-nation tournament in the Maldives, according to media reports.
The squad was revealed in a video shared on social media, confirming the team selection for the regional competition in the Maldives.
Pakistan will feature in the tournament alongside hosts Maldives, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
Forward Ali Khan and midfielder Adil Nabi have earned their maiden call-ups to the national team and are included in the 23-member squad. Ali Khan currently plays club football in Sweden, while Adil Nabi is based in the United Kingdom.
The squad includes goalkeepers Saqib Hanif, Yousuf Butt, and Hassan Ali. The defensive lineup features Abdullah Iqbal, Muhammad Fazal, Abdullah Shah, Isa Suleman, Mohib Afridi, Mamoon Musa, Ali Niazi, and Haris Zeb.
The midfield department consists of Adil Nabi, Rahis Nabi, Alamgir Ghazi, Hayan Khattak, Otis Khan, and Ali Agha. The attacking unit includes Shaiq Dost, Umar Nawaz, Ali Khan, Haroon Hamid, Ali Shah, and Samad Arshad.
The four-nation football tournament will be held in the Maldives from June 1 to June 10. Alongside hosts Maldives and Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will also participate in the competition.
