Pakistan Shaheens pulled off a thrilling five-run win over Sri Lanka-A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 semifinal in Doha on Friday, booking a place in the final against Bangladesh-A.
In the second semi-final of the Rising Stars Asia Cup between Pakistan Shaheens and Sri Lanka-A, Sri Lanka won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first.
Pakistan scored 153 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Ghazi Ghauri remained not out on 39, while Maaz Sadaqat made 23, and both Ahmed Daniyal and Saad Masood contributed 22 runs each.
For Sri Lanka-A, Pramod Madushan took four wickets and Traveen Mathew claimed three.
Chasing 154, Sri Lanka-A managed 148 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, falling short by 5 runs.
With this win, Pakistan Shaheens have reached the final, where they will face Bangladesh-A on Sunday.
